Annual STH Conference

NYC Public Schools - Students In Temporary Housing

The Opportunity

The NYC Public Schools’ Students in Temporary Housing (“STH”) division decided to launch their inaugural conference.  The goal was to create a memorable and impactful event that would inform, inspire, and connect over 600 professionals and educators supporting students and families who were temporarily unhoused, while fostering collaboration and wellness. Due to Epiphany Blue’s successful 10-year tenure of working with STH team members, the division retained us to co-design, plan, and execute their inaugural conference.

Our Approach

Epiphany Blue delivered full planning, production, and on-site management. Our team began with a detailed needs assessment to align programming, venue, and logistics with the client’s goals. Using our emotional journey mapping approach, we created a unique experience featuring keynote speakers, 37 breakout sessions, a 20-vendor Partnership Fair, and a dedicated Wellness Pavilion offering yoga, meditation, art therapy, and wellness resources. Service highlights included venue sourcing, registration,  vendor and speaker coordination, guest engagement and hospitality strategy, and full-scale on-site production, ensuring a seamless and meaningful experience.

The Results

  • Over 600 attendees participated, including educators, social workers, and advocates.
  • Programming included 100 speakers, 37 simultaneous breakout sessions, a vendor fair, and a film screening.
  • The Wellness Pavilion was widely praised for addressing both mental and physical well-being.
  • Post-event surveys showed high satisfaction across event content, logistics, and engagement.
  • Epiphany Blue’s execution was applauded for ideation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • As a result, we were retained to produce the annual events from 2021 to 2025, providing virtual and in-person experiences that maintained the essence of the inaugural event.
